Maratea – an inviting refuge

Not everyone can find Maratea. But those lucky enough to discover this charming little town by the sea – also known as "The true pearl of the Tyrrhenian" – also experience the calm pace and high sense of life that’s so typical of Italy. Like sitting down with an espresso at Piazza Buraglia square and just enjoying the theatre of life. Maratea also offers unique experiences. The town and its surroundings are located on a breathtaking coastal stretch with a number of fantastic bays for bathing, viewpoints and opportunities for your own adventures. The area around the city has a heritage that extends to ancient times and even further back in time, and here are many places that will take you on a real time travel. Maratea is also known for all its churches, a total of forty-four and they’re all under the supervision of the gigantic Christ statue "Il Redentore" at a height outside the city. In Maratea you not only find an outstanding destination, you also have every opportunity to find yourself.

How to get to Maratea

The best way to get here is to fly to Naples 200 km north of Maratea and rent a car.

We are longing to see you.
